Sr. Director, Clinical Product Management

Our Product team is pivotal in ensuring our platform meets market need and maximizes the value of WellStack.AI’s platform and services.

Role Overview

We are seeking an innovative and experienced healthcare technology leader to drive the development and execution of clinical analytics and related product strategies.

The ideal candidate should have a strong background in clinical informatics and data integration, risk stratification (i.e., AI driven predictive modeling), ACO and value-based care clinical analytics, data standards such as FHIR, chronic disease management insights, rising risk, high prevalence disease groups, and other trending comorbidities that are relevant to our markets. This individual will sit between business stakeholders and technical teams, ensuring that product solutions align with organizational and customer goals, deliver value, and drive decision-making.

This role may require travel (~15%) for client discovery and kick-off meetings.

Key Responsibilities

  • Clinical Analytics & Product Management:
    • Conduct and facilitate client kickoff and discovery meetings to gather insights and propose clinical product strategies.
    • Define and document product requirements for clinical analytics solutions.
    • Support the Head of Product to develop and maintain the product roadmap, ensuring alignment with business and client needs.
    • Work with the Head of Product to define the user requirements of potential AI models and their use in clinical workflows.
    • Drive the integration of clinical data with other product offerings to enhance interoperability and decision-making.
    • Drive use cases and define product requirements to combine claims, clinical EHR, and other supplemental data, such as ADT, HIE, and payer care gap files as needed for product enhancements.
    • Leverage expertise and work with client stakeholders to identify clinical EHR tables and fields for data extraction and integration needs with other data elements.
    • Support product enhancements with appropriate user personas and work with the Head of Product to form forecasting and ROI models of the proposed clinical analytics products.
    • Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business requirements into detailed technical specifications and user stories.
  • Clinical Coding & Data Mapping
    • Map and translate codes between common healthcare reference data sets including AMA CPT, ICD-10-CM/PCS, HCPCS, NDC, and LOINC to claims-based coding systems.
    • Design and implement clinical episode grouping methodologies, such as maternal health episodes, using diagnosis groupers (DRGs, APR-DRGs, CCS), and procedure codes.
    • Develop technical specifications for automated code mapping workflows between EHR clinical terminologies (SNOMED-CT, RxNorm) and administrative claims coding systems.
    • Create and maintain crosswalk tables for clinical data harmonization across disparate healthcare systems and coding standards.
    • Build episode definition logic incorporating multiple data sources (professional claims, facility claims, pharmacy claims) with appropriate inclusion/exclusion criteria.
  • Innovation & Product Development:
    • Conceptualize and document new product ideas to address emerging challenges in healthcare analytics.
    • Design user personas and define the necessary tools for each user type.
    • Lead the development of user interface tools tailored for customers, ensuring an intuitive and efficient experience.
  • Project Management
    • Participate in Agile/Scrum meetings as needed, review and confirm sprint planning, reviews, QA and retrospectives of clinical analytics products.
    • Work with the Head of Product to identify risks and resolve roadblocks during the product development lifecycle.
    • Track progress and performance of deliverables to ensure projects are delivered on time and within scope.
    • Notify leadership and key stakeholders if delivery falls behind schedule.
  • Stakeholder Communication
    • Work closely with data engineers, analysts, and business leaders, to ensure successful definitions and delivery of clinical analytics solutions
    • Serve as the primary point of contact for all clinical analytics-related products and initiatives

Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, computer science, or a related field (master’s strongly preferred).
  • 10+ years of experience in product ownership, clinical analytics and required data, or a related field.
  • Proven record of accomplishment managing clinical analytics products or platforms using Agile methodologies.
  • Experience in US healthcare with a strong foundational understanding of end-to-end performance data within health system and providers.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft, Confluence/JIRA, project management software, and analytics user interface tools.
