Location: Remote/Hybrid – USA | 15% Travel

Role Overview

As a Product Owner of Population Health, you will report directly to the SVP of Product Management. You will serve as the primary owner of WellStack’s population health suite of analytics, insights, and dashboards. You will partner with other product team members, client success managers, and engineering to ensure client’s deliverables meet their requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Product Features and Insights

Lead technical demonstrations and proof-of-concept (POC) engagements, showcasing WellStack’s data integration, analytics, and interoperability capabilities.

Lead effort to define inclusion and exclusion criteria for metric definitions.

Leverage your background and understanding in value-based care risk arrangements to provide recommendations for new decision hub features, groupings of metrics, and changes to the overall Population Health module

Examples include avoidable emergency department visits, readmissions and key primary care follow up visits, post discharge planning and patient support, and CMS-specific programs based on payer contracts.

Develop Acceptance Criteria and Approval of Solution

Define the acceptance criteria with the quality team for UAT.

Collaborate with the development team to set clear acceptance criteria for user stories.

Review the deliverables at the end of each sprint and accept or reject work based on whether it aligns with the acceptance criteria and product vision.

Stakeholder Communication

Interact with stakeholders, customers, and end-users to gather feedback and relay information to the product team.

Address questions and concerns from stakeholders and reduce interruptions to the implementation and engineering team where product changes are not necessary.

Create and Manage the Population Health Product Backlog

Work with product leadership team to support the vision of platform, client strategies, and overall deliverables.

Define and develop features for the population health product backlog.

Develop accompanying user stories and personas to support the feature.

Provide product requirements and technical details & support accountable build team with any deep dives or questions.

Work with UI/UX to develop wireframes, proof of concepts, and other collateral that may be necessary.

Work with product leadership team and other product owners to prioritize the product backlog.

Sprint Planning

Participate in sprint planning meetings with the Engineering and Implementation team and escalate barriers as appropriate.

Ensure prioritized features are included in sprints to maintain overall product roadmap.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in business, Healthcare, Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

Proven experience in product management or a similar role with data and analytics platform, preferably Snowflake and Tableau

5+ years of population health data and analytics experience

Excellent communication, problem-solving, & documentation skills.

Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks effectively, and work as a team.

Proficiency in Confluence/JIRA, project management software, and data analytics tools.

SQL skillset to write proof of concept code as needed

Proficient with claims data and claims joins to provide accurate cost and utilization metrics

$135,000 – $170,000 salary dependent upon experience
